For those waiting on their Forum Account Activation

Last month I thought I'd be catching up on sorting through the new member accounts, but my attempt at automating the process didn't work out like I had planned and put me even further behind. I'm currently attempting to catch up by doing it the old fashioned way.

I know the work IP (that I may have registered from) will not match the home email domain, and I hope this is not a problem that would delay, or deny me the ability to log in and post.

Diablo, your user account wasn't approved... I'm coming up with the name "Uticakima" and both the Email and IP addresses are coming up on lists of SPAMMERS, although the IP address you used for the "Diablo" post is clean. I think your best bet would be to re-submit your info.

Do you think it would be a good idea to change the part in the sticky that says that it might be up to 24 hours for an account to be activated since it might be 4 or 6 weeks or more? Just in case they don't see this thread. I'm sure that there are people wondering if they've done something wrong when they registered.

I know it's a lot of work to screen people. I just think they might like to know about how long to expect for activation.

Said post is a bit over the top. We do not know why DB hasn't been attending to the RYOR forums .......... could be due to illness or any number of valid reasons. That said, I invite those awaiting membership here at RYOR to register over at the BaccyTown forum. If and when your membership is approved here, you can participate in both forums ( I do ). I hope Dan is well because I consider him a good friend, but none of us really know why he's not been around.

Once again I have to apologize for my inability to administer the forums these past several months and to everyone who submitted an account registration and is still awaiting approval.

As soon as I have resolved the problem with the forums Email system I'll start going through and approving new member accounts.

The forum Email system is now working again, so I'm processing new member applications immediately as they are received.

There is also quite a large backlog from the last couple months which I am also going through, albeit more slowly.

Anyone who has registered in the last couple months and DID NOT receive the confirmation/validation Email and would like me to expedite their account please send an Email to dan (at) ryorevolution.com OR reply here with your USERNAME and I'll process it ASAP.

Its nice to see your alive and well. Sorry to hear about the glitch in your life. Sounds like you have it under control. In the meantime, I did a google look at your house. Is that field in back yours? Would make for alot of tobacco one season.
